Sporeforming probiotic CALSPORIN® receives EU-approval for use in pigletsOrffa is pleased to announce that the sporeforming probiotic CALSPORIN® (Bacillus subtilis C-3102) has been registered by European Commission for use in piglets with a minimal dosage of only 30 ppm. No maximum dosage is applicable, since the probiotic has earlier gained the status as Qualified Presumption of Safety by the EU. The product can be used from weaning till approximately 35 kg of age. CALSPORIN® has shown good efficacy resulting in an increased growth with lower feed conversion ratio. |
